  • Getting There / Parking: Cafe Rouge is at Brighton Marina, to the east of the city. It is on the Boardwalk overlooking the boats.

Various bus routes visit the Marina. From the bus stop (outside Mcdonalds) look across the road to where a big sign directs you to a double ramp that takes you up to the Boardwalk level. There are also public lifts at ground level a little further on past the garage, amongst the shops, and you can use the lift in Hotel Seattle.

If coming by car, there are disabled bays on level 6 of the multi-storey car park. You are then on the right level to cross the footbridge to the Boardwalk area.

  • Getting In: The restaurant has a level access doorway. There is a single outer door which opens outwards and is quite heavy so help would be needed to get in. Inside is another single door opening outwards which is a bit easier. In fine weather the doors are fixed open.

At the rear of the restaurant is a double door leading onto the walkway behind, and these doors also open outwards.

  • Getting Around / Facilities: It is fairly easy to move around and get seated, and there is seating outside as well.

There is an accessible toilet with space to transfer from the left. Cafe Rouge has a menu in large print and a Braille menu.

  • Additional Comments: I found the decor attractive, a pleasant place to be. There is a special 2-course menu as well as a la carte.
