  • Getting There / Parking: Close to the Brighton Pier, the Old Steine and Kemp Town, Above Audio has a good central location. Buses stop approximately 20 metres from the main entrance on Marine Parade. The train station is only 20 minutes away.

You are permitted to park along Marine Parade if you hold a badge, but also pay parking is available. On Madeira Drive almost opposite the public toilets, down on the sea front, there is one place for disabled parking.

Please note, that on the same road there are also ten places available for badge holders nearer to Brighton Pier. A third option would be on Madeira Place where there is only one place available 150ft from the venue.(see picture).

Buses on Marine Parade, be aware that one can cross the street almost opposite the venue but there is not a zebra crossing.

  • Getting In: The pavement in front of the bar is relatively even and there is dropped kerb access. A ramped access (with handrail) to the bar is located off the main entrance on Marine Parade.

At the top of the ramp is a double door entrance so suitable for wheelchairs. The doors are usually open however are lightweight if closed.

  • Getting Around / Facilities: The bar and outside smoking terrace are on the same level as the ramped access. Please note that the pool table, back access and some seating areas have two steps.

The main bar area is spacious with varying tables heights with settees with lower tables and chairs with higher tables.

The main service area is high but staff can help when necessary and can also help with reading the menu and bringing food and drinks to the tables.

The accessible toilets are kept locked and you have to ask staff to unlock them. Also appeared that a vacuum cleaner was kept in the toilet and looks like its home.

They have adaptable lighting and the background noise is typical of a bar area.

  • Additional Comments: The venue can be hired for private functions. And there is a spacious sun terrace at the front of the premises.

The nightclub, Audio, is located below the bar. However, please note that the club is down a full flight of stairs and does not have an accessible loo.
