Cafe Arcadia, Brighton

Cafe Arcadia, Brighton

This is one of the more traditional Cafes in the City serving the usual breakfasts/sarnies/light lunches/spuds etc and beverages in an atmosphere that is pleasant and easy on the senses.

Access information:

  • There is level access
  • There is no accessible toilet

  • Address: 7 Dyke Road
    Brighton
    BN1 3F

  • Getting There / Parking: Arcadia Cafe is located in the Imperial Arcade directly opposite the Churchill Shopping Centre on Western Road. It is well served by public transport with bus stops outside the two entrances/exits to the Arcade itself.

If travelling by car the nearest accessible car park is the multi storey on West Street which has accessible parking bays or Churchill Square Shopping Centre Car Park. There is also a taxi rank on Queens Square directly behind the Arcade.

  • Getting In: The Cafe has large double doors opening inwards which are ideal for wheelchair access.
  • Getting Around / Facilities: The dining area is level with free standing tables and seating which can be arranged to accommodate wheelchairs and offers extra leg room for those who may require it.

The toilet is accessed directly from the far end of the dining area. One step down leads onto a single unisex toilet.

  • Additional Comments: Portion size and presentation of the food is good and, on the whole I found the Cafe to be a nice alternative to the many fast food eateries elsewhere. The hot choc with whipped cream is a delight and with pleasant service this eatery is always going to be popular with the hungry tourist/visitor.
