Barney's

Barney's

Barney's is a great place to have a quiet drink and chat with friends. It also serves a full and varied menu for those wishing to eat.

Access information:

  • Level access
  • There is an accessible toilet
  • Address: 102-106 Western Road
    Hove
    BN3 1FA

  • Phone: 01273 720058
  • Web: www.barneyshove.co.uk
  • Getting There / Parking: Located at the start of Western Road in Hove, Barney's caters both to diners and those just wishing to have a drink or two in a relaxed atmosphere. Barney's has a wide frontage looking directly onto Western Road which makes it perfect for people-watching!

Many of the side streets at the Hove end of Western Road have a few disabled parking spaces, as well as voucher/pay and display spaces that are free for blue-badge holders. Buses run very regularly along Western road and there is a bus stop approximately 100 yards from Barneys.

  • Getting In: There are two doors into Barney's, one into the restaurant area and another into the bar, both with level access from street level.
  • Getting Around / Facilities: There are two internal steps between the restaurant and bar, but these can be easily avoided by going outside and round to the other door. The bar has no low access point, but is relatively small and so it is easy for the bar staff to come round and take orders.

An accessible toilet is available on the right-hand side of the bar. It is usually open but if not the key is available from the bar staff.

  • Additional Comments: The bar was not too busy and seems to be a good place to have a quiet drink and chat with friends. It also serves a full and varied menu for those wishing to eat. Staff were very friendly and helpful during my visit.
