Sussex Cricketer Pub

Sussex Cricketer Pub

Conveniently located right next to the cricket ground, the Sussex cricketer pub is very accessible and welcoming.

Access information:

  • There is ramped access at the front
  • There is an accessible toilet with radar key lock

  • Address: Eaton Road
    Hove
    BN3 3AF

  • Phone: 01273 771645
  • Getting There / Parking: The Sussex Cricketer is situated right by the entrance to The County Cricket Ground in Hove. Half a mile from Hove Railway Station.

On street parking is permit holders or payment parking with a 2 hour limit. To the immediate right hand side of the pub there is a small area with double yellow lines. Just inside the gates of the ground there is a small car park which looks like a staff car park, but there seems to be an unwritten agreement that on days when there is no match, the pub customers may park there.

  • Getting In: Access to the pub is very simple. At the front there are a few steps or a ramp, and at the rear via the garden, it is totally flat.
  • Getting Around / Facilities: Once inside, it is open plan and very spacious, but still has a nice atmosphere. There are tables and chairs which are easily moved to accommodate wheelchairs.

On the ground floor to the rear of the bar there is a large accessible toilet which is fitted with a radar lock.

  • Additional Comments: I think the fact that the local branch of the MS Society congregates here once a month tells us how accessible The Cricketers is! Useful for being near the Sussex County Cricket Club (www.sussexcricket.co.uk)
