Brunswick Pub

Brunswick Pub

This is a lovely, welcoming pub with very friendly, helpful staff and serves great food.  It is fairly accessible throughout.

Access information:

  • Sloped access to the venue
  • There is an accessible toilet
  • Address: 3 Holland Rd
    Hove
    BN3 1JF

  • Phone: 01273 733984
  • Web: www.brunswickpub.co.uk
  • Getting There / Parking: Located off of Western Road in Hove, on Holland Road close to the seafront.

There is some on street parking available, most of it Pay and Display. It is on many of the major bus routes along Western Road with a 5 minute walk down the hill towards the seafront.

  • Getting In: There is a flat ramped entrance to get into the pub. The roads outside the pub can be a bit bumpy and the dropped curbs a little tricky to negotiate.
  • Getting Around / Facilities: Tables are widely spaced and some tables have moveable chairs. There is a really lovely, big beer garden which is accessible for wheelchairs via a side gate.

There is a good sized, well maintained accessible toilet, which doubles up as the standard ladies toilet. The mirror is too high to use from a wheelchair.

  • Additional Comments: This is a lovely, welcoming pub with very friendly, helpful staff and serves great food. There is an accessible function room where many events take place throughout the week, from music to comedy and open-mic. There is also a function room upstairs, but this room is not accessible so I have not reviewed it.

There are several tables next to windows where the light is good during the day. There is live music and events which can be quite loud, but the staff helpfully shut the door to the function room whilst we were there which made it easier to communicate in the main area of the pub. This review took place on a Sunday lunch time.
