  • Getting There / Parking: A popular Brighton eatery, Bill's Cafe is located in the bustling North Lanes, about half a mile from the train station.

Disabled parking is available across the street on North Place. Many buses stop in nearby North Street.

  • Getting In: The pavement can be a bit bumpy and uneven so take care in a motorised scooter or wheelchair. However, there are dropped kerbs on every corner and a manageable sloping access into Bill's.
  • Getting Around / Facilities: The immediate impression is one of abundance, with the produce store at the front displaying overflowing baskets of tasty organic and local fruit and veggies.

The ground floor restaurant dining room has tables and chairs that can be moved to accommodate wheelchairs. Be warned that it can get busy at lunchtime and sometimes a queue forms near the shelves on the right-hand side. It is unusual to have to wait longer than twenty minutes and off-peak visits will normally have you seated immediately.

You can reserve for evening visits between 17.00 and 22.00. There is a small upstairs level to the restaurant, which can only be accessed by a large flight of stairs and is not considered accessible.

Anyone who has difficulty reading the menu can ask their server for assistance - they would be happy to read out or explain menu

There is an accessible toilet available at the back of the restaurant on the ground floor.

  • Additional Comments: It's a great place to stop for lunch when out for a day of sightseeing or shopping - you will be well-rewarded for taking a break with delicious, wholesome food and tasty desserts.

You can order off the regular menu but the best options are normally the specials of the day, written on a blackboard above the cake display.

Bill's is a haven for people fond of fresh, tasty and healthy cuisine. Open for breakfast until dinner most days, you can choose from a fantastic selection of breakfasts, sandwiches, salads, freshly made smoothies and a changing rotation of dinner options. Excellent value and a buzzing ambience make it a deservedly popular destination for visitors and locals alike. Don't forget to leave room for the artfully decorated cakes and desserts - I have endured more than one envious stare as a gorgeous slice of banoffee pie has been placed in front of me!
