  • Getting There / Parking: Situated on the corner of St. James Street and Madeira Place in Brighton, this pub is 2 minutes from Old Steine and Marine Parade on the seafront. It is also a stone's throw from the bus stops on St. James Street.

St. James Street is a one-way street going from Old Steine into Kemp Town. There is limited parking down Madeira Place. .

  • Getting In: The pub advertises as having disabled access. However, there is one small step into the pub on the entrance of St. James Street. The entrance on Madeira has four steps up to the door
  • Getting Around / Facilities: Inside, there is a selection of seating including benches and stools. The bar is fairly low down as well.

Unfortunately, there isn't an accessible toilet. The men's and ladies toilets are located at the bottom of a flight of 15 stairs. The edges of the steps are not marked out so aren't clear for someone who has a visual impairment.

  • Additional Comments: The first Tuesday of the month is 'The Rum Club'. This is a rum tasting evening with a guest speaker. There is a Thai menu available as well as pub snacks such as olives and cashew nuts.
