  • Getting There / Parking: Situated on Edward street, directly opposite the courts, the PV is easily reached by bus, which stops pretty much outside. It's also easy enough for Taxi's to drop off outside. Of course this being Brighton, parking is a nightmare... although there are pay and display and a few disabled bays opposite the police station on the opposite side of the road.
  • Getting In: There are two entrances to the PV, the favoured entrance has two steps leading up to it with a rail alongside. The other entrance, which is on the corner, is accessible for wheelchair and scooter users.
  • Getting Around / Facilities: The PV is a relatively small pub, with tables and chairs along the walls and a comfortable sofa area in the corner. You shouldn't have too much trouble manouvering about once inside.

The main problem access wise with this pub is that the toilets are down a step, therefore inaccessible for wheelchair and scooter users. I visited this pub with a friend who has a visual impairment and she said that she found it to be quite dark in the evening, so that may be worth bearing in mind.

  • Additional Comments: The atmosphere in this pub is great. The staff always have a cheery smile for you and chat to you as if you were family. The music doesn't tend to be too loud, although it can be on Friday and Saturday nights. They serve an amazing roast dinner on Sundays and have a seasonal menu served everyday except Tuesdays.
