Kings Arms, The

Kings Arms, The

A friendly pub, close to Brighton town centre and about five minutes walk/scoot to the beach and pier.

Access information:

  • There is a large step to get in
  • There is no accessible toilet

  • Address: The Kings Arms
    56 George Street
    Brighton
    BN2 1RJ

  • Phone: 01273 245 128

  • Web: www.kingsarmsbrighton.co.uk
  • Getting There / Parking: Located on George Street in Kemptown, this pub is two minutes from the bus stop at the bottom of St James's street.

There are double yellow lines along this road, so blue badge holders can park for up to 3 hours. There are a few blue badge spaces further along St James's street and limited pay and display bays.

  • Getting In: There is a fairly large step leading to the front door of this pub, although when I spoke to staff there, they told me that they have in the past assisted manual wheelchair users up the step.
  • Getting Around / Facilities: The pub itself is large and has low level tables.

There is no accessible toilet in this venue, the toilets provided are far too small for a wheelchair user to access. The staff told me that they are always happy to assist customers who may have a visual impairment by reading aloud their drinks menu etc.

  • Additional Comments: Nice, friendly staff. This pub is marketed as a "mens pub".
