  • Getting There / Parking: Located on Marine Parade, this venue is easy to find and is only a minute away from the nearest bus stop. Taxis are easily able to pull up along side to drop people off and there are a few blue badge bays available nearby. Otherwise, all parking is permit zone C.
  • Getting In: At the side entrance to the hotel, there is a sign stating that the disabled entrance is at the front, in the form of a wheelchair lift. When your reviewer enquired about this, I was told that it doesn't work and that they had built a ramp instead. This ramp is a hand built, wooden ramp which they have to manually lay out in order for somebody to use it.

This ramp is quite steep and not suitable for larger wheelchairs and scooters.

  • Getting Around / Facilities: Once inside, the bar and restaurant areas are very light and airy, with beautiful sea views. there is an outside area also for those sunny days and for the smokers amongst us! There is a lift to the hotel accommodation, but it is a very small lift and therefore will only accommodate a manual wheelchair or a small powered wheelchair.

The accessible toilet on the restaurant level is kept locked at all times, the key can be obtained from the bar area. Unfortunately, this venue does not offer large print or braille menu's, but the staff are happy to read the menu's aloud for people is required.

  • Accommodation / Rooms: On the day I visited, all rooms were occupied, therefore I was unable to view them myself, but the manager told me that there is one wheelchair accessible room, which has a wet room. The hotel are unable to provide vibrating pillows or similar.
  • Additional Comments: The venue also operates a sauna, which is open 7 days a week.
