  • Getting There / Parking: Brighton Marina can be reached by car, bus or on foot. The no. 7 bus service runs every 15 minutes from Brighton town centre to the Marina Village. For more information on getting to the Marina on foot, please see the review under "Attractions".

For access to the cinema it is best to park on the ground floor of the multi-storey car park, which is free for blue-badge holders. The Asda car park can also be used, but parking is restricted to two hours. There is level access from both car parks to the cinema itself. The cinema is just a short walk (100 yards) from the main car park. The doors are quite heavy but the constant stream of people in and out of the cinema ensures there is always someone to help.

  • Getting In: The 8 cinema screens and refreshment counter are up three steps, with a ramp on the left-hand side. Level access is available to all screens, and there are six spaces for wheelchair users at each screen, at the back of the auditorium. Cinema ushers are available to help you get to your seat. Staff always seem friendly and willing to help.
  • Getting Around / Facilities: The box office booths are accessible from ground level as you walk in. Automated machines are available to collect pre-booked tickets, but the access points for these are quite high. Tickets can also be collected from the booths themselves, which are easier to reach. Toilets are available behind the booths. On the right-hand side, a single door leads into a corridor with the ladies toilet and a separate unisex disabled toilet. Men's toilets are on the left-hand side, with a larger cubicle for disabled users.
  • Additional Comments: Tickets can be bought when you arrive, or in advance. To book wheelchair spaces and carer seats in advance, you can call the telephone booking service on 0871 200 2000. At the telephone prompts, select your cinema, followed by the "enquiries" option and finally "operator". This will allow you to talk to an agent and explain your requirements. An induction hearing loop is available in the ground of the auditorium. Headsets for this are available from the box office booths at the entrance to the cinema. Cinema staff advise that this system works best when you are seated in the centre of the auditorium. Cineworld provide a free seat for an accompanying carer if you hold a Cinema Exhibitors' Association Card (CEA card). This is typical in most modern cinemas, and cards are available from www.ceacard.co.uk. Audio description and subtitles are also available on some performances, listed on the website. Assistance dogs are welcome.

I have been coming to this cinema for many years and have always found the facilities to be good and the staff friendly and helpful. I particularly like the seating arrangements, as being at the back of the cinema gives you a better view of the screen, without the need for craning your neck that can come from being in the first few rows. The cinema is starting to look a bit old now!
