Getting There / Parking:
Located near the sea and the infamous Lanes, staying at the Travelodge Brighton Seafront will have you in the middle of it all. It's a busy area, with lots of clubs and a lively and youthful nightlife. The hotel is located down the road (0.6miles, Queens Road turns into West Street) from the train station. Neighbouring pavements are wide with dropped kerbs and there are numerous pedestrian controlled crossings. The hotel is across from the sea, where you'll find ramps down to the walkway along the beachfront.
The nearest car park is Russell Park behind the hotel, currently charged at £15/day. There is no parking onsite and limited parking on the neighbouring streets due it its central busy location.

Getting In:
There is a double set of automatic sliding doors at the entrance of the hotel. In the evening after 10pm the second set is locked and there is a swipe card access, or a bell for reception, at a suitable height to be accessed from a wheelchair.
-
Getting Around / Facilities:
Reception is equipped with a hearing induction loop and is staffed 24 hours a day. The three accessible rooms are located on the first floor. There are lifts, but please note that the access to the lifts is narrow and may not be suitable for all large mobility scooters. Call ahead if unsure. The corridors are wide, and there is a call for assistance button near the lifts. There are fire doors between the lifts and the bedrooms. They swing out when accessing from the bedroom side and should you need assistance in the other direction, just ask at reception on your way up.
The bright and airy restaurant, which is open for buffet breakfast and a la carte dinner, is located on the ground floor. An accessible loo is available in the lobby, near the restaurant.
-
Accommodation / Rooms:
The accessible bedrooms are made up as doubles, but can be transformed into twins. Light switches are placed near the bed, and at a suitable height for guests who use wheelchairs. The bathroom has a wheel-in shower. Access rails are placed around the shower, as well as the sink and toilet. There is a pull cord near the shower and another call button near the bed that are connected to the reception 24 hours a day. The hotel can also provide vibrating pillows for guests with hearing impairments so they can feel a fire alarm, in the unlikely event of an emergency. Facilities are basic since this is a budget hotel but rooms are clean and excellent value.
