  • Getting There / Parking: Lansdowne Place Hotel is situated just off the Kingsway, the main seafront road.

    Parking is available in the basement and costs £15 per day. There is no designated disabled bay. There is also on-street parking, which is 'Pay and Display'. Regular buses run along the nearby Western Road to the north of the hotel.

  • Getting In: There are 4 steps up to the main entrance at the front of the building where there is a revolving door and a double door with a 'Pull Towards You' opening. Access for wheelchairs is through a side entrance at the north side of the hotel. The entrance goes into the garden and then up a ramp through one of the Conference Rooms and then into the Reception Area. This may be an issue if there is a Conference being held in that room. There is a portable ramp than can be used to access the front entrance, please ask.
    There is access beside of the hotel, which brings you into the lobby.

  • Getting Around / Facilities: They have friendly, helpful and confident staff with a good awareness of disability. There is a good sized internal lift, large enough for motorised wheelchairs and scooters. There is an accessible toilet on the ground floor.

    There is an accessible health-club in the basement although not specifically designed for people with mobility
    issues.

    There is a Disabled bathroom on the ground floor.

  • Accommodation / Rooms: Entry to all rooms is with a traditional key. All the rooms are wheelchair accessible and of a good size. There is only one room specifically designed for disabled people with a walk-in shower/wetroom.
    There is a disabled guest room.

  • Additional Comments: They have on/off fire indication lights but otherwise don't have any specific arrangements for the hearing impaired. However, they do ensure that they have this information on the Guest List for fire drills etc. They are very willing to read information and menus.

    Wheelchair loan is available, please ask if interested.

    The hotel is billed as a 'trendy boutique hotel' and having been recently refurbished is plush and well appointed.
