  • Getting There / Parking: Situated in North Brighton. Served by Buses 5 and 5 A.

Situated on same site as two schools with playing fields so best to avoid school drop-off and pick-up times. It shares the building with Patcham Library.

The Centre has its own car park but this is shared with schools and the library. There are 2 designated disabled spaces. There is a convenient drop-off point.

  • Getting In: The route from the car park is flat with a small drop down curb. There is an automatic double door at the main entrance

  • Getting Around / Facilities: The main reception area is not staffed generally but run by volunteers who are confident and friendly.

Ground floor - 2 rooms and kitchen
1st floor - 2 more rooms and kitchen

There is a small lift which holds 8 people or one wheelchair or scooter. Stairs are wide with handrails and have contrast strips.

Doors are standard size and can be quite tight for scooters and wheelchairs.

The standard toilets are locked and you must ask for a key. The accessible toilets are accessed with a Radar key.

There are kitchens on both floors but you must bring own food and drink.

  • Additional Comments: The signs are not clear or in braile and there are no hearing loops. The Community Centre is open 7 days a week. It is not subsidised by the Council but self funded. Hire rates are reasonable and discretion is used when charging for hire. It is mainly used by mother and baby groups and elderly groups.
