  • Venue Description: Community Base is a centre that provides a home for community and voluntary groups in Brighton and Hove, just a few minutes from Brighton Station.

Community Base is a charity. They use income from affordable rent and services, including use of the South Wing meeting rooms, to repay a mortgage on their accessible seven floor building, and to meet their running costs.

It is a truly multicultural community centre, providing a home to groups offering real help to local black and minority ethnic communities alongside groups providing services to the wider community. Their annual poster guide to community services in Brighton and Hove is available in twelve languages other than English to help non-English speakers get help when they need it.

As well as providing meeting rooms and conference space for groups, they aim to help people access local community services, find local venues for hire, and find volunteer opportunities with local community and voluntary groups.
