  • Getting There / Parking: Churchill Square is Brighton's main shopping centre located off Western Road. It's easily reached by all the bus routes that operate within the City and all out of town routes terminate here. It's approximately 10 minutes walk from the train station, downhill towards the sea. Western Road is limited to buses, taxis and bicycles only.
  • Getting In: Access by car is along the seafront to the Car Park. There are 3 levels in Churchill One Car Park accessed via Regency Road at the top of West Street. Shopmobility (insert link) is located on Parking Level P3.

In the centre of the car park there is a lift to all parking levels, shopping levels and the roof.

There are two lifts at the southern end of the Centre near Debenhams which connect all Churchill One car park levels, the Lower Mall and the Upper Mall.

There are also two more lifts in Churchill Two car park which serve all car park levels with bridges to the Upper and Lower Malls At the southern end are the Debenhams lifts to all 3 floors of the store and to all parking levels.

  • Getting Around / Facilities: Upper Mall

The east and west malls merge behind British Homes Stores and where the scenic lift is situated. Beside the lift is the Churchill Square Information Desk. There are escalators to the Restaurant Level and down to the Lower Mall. On the left hand side are the public toilets and Gymboree play area which has drop-off facilities for young children. There are two accessible toilets, one of which is a left- hand transfer and the other a right-hand transfer.

Towards the southern end of the central mall, the floor becomes a slight ramp, leading up to the entrance of Debenhams. At the bottom of the ramp, on the walls, there are disabled call buttons for assistance if the gradient of the slope is too steep for you. To the left of Debenhams is a corridor leading to the lifts for access to car park 1 and car park 2.

    Lower Mall

The lower mall is identical to the upper mall with the exception of there being a large exhibition area in the centre, behind the scenic lift. This area is used throughout the year, by traders and at Christmas, this is where you will find Santa's Grotto!

    Restaurant Level

You can reach this via the scenic lift, escalators, the flight of stairs from the West Mall next to NatWest Bank. There are five food outlets, serving a variety of snacks, meals, teas and coffees etc. All of the furniture is free standing and there is ample space for wheelchairs, scooters or buggies. To the back of the restaurant level, there is ramped access to the rooftop car park. Either side of this ramp are six blue badge parking spaces. To the western side of this level, there is a long corridor which leads to the public toilets. In both the ladies and gents toilets there are separate accessible cubicles. To the end of the corridor, by the emergency exit is a baby changing room.

There is an emergency wheelchair lift, located half way down the corridor, which takes you to the upper mall. This lift is for emergencies only and it cannot be operated by the general public (although there are call points at the base and at the top). At the very end of the corridor is a special area, which has been designated for wheelchair users and people with reduced mobility to wait safely in the event of a fire or other such emergency. There are also refuge points in all fire routes on all floors.

  • Additional Comments: Most of the main chain stores and major retailers are in the square, look at their website for more details.
