    SWIMMING FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES

The Prince Regent Swimming Complex and the Integrated Child Development and Disability Service have provided a poolside hoist for access into the flexi-pool (heated to a temperature of 29c) at the Prince Regent Swimming Pool using Aiming High for Disabled Children Government funding. With a choice of either a chair or stretcher, both with safety straps, it is suitable for use by most people with mobility difficulties who would otherwise be unable to get in and out of the pool. There is also a fully accessible changing room with an overhead hoist and height adjustable changing trolley. Parents and carers are also invited to use this changing equipment even if they are not using the pool, which is ideal given the central location of the swimming pool.

  • Additional Comments: Please note - Could any swimmers who are doubly incontinent please wear incontinence swimwear.

Although the pool endeavour to keep to the above times, please phone in advance to confirm on 685692
