Recent years have seen Sussex County Cricket Club enjoy consistent success and in 2009 the club has reached the Friends Provident Trophy Final at Lord’s and won the Twenty20 Cup at Finals day at Edgbaston.

Access information:

  • Accessible toilets on both east and west sides of the ground

  • Getting There / Parking: 10-15 minutes walk from Hove train station, in a south east direction (towards seafront and towards Brighton). Bus stop 100 yards from the ground on route 81B.

Disabled parking in the ground by the main scoreboard. Use the Palmeira Road entrance (rear entrance 23) for this. Open to anyone that holds a disabled parking permit, though there are a limited number of spaces so it is on a 'first come, first served' basis.

Note there is no parking at any Twenty20 matches.

Blue Badge parking also available outside the ground (level access / slight slopes into the ground).

Helpful gate staff and stewards will assist on all matters.

  • Getting In: Quite steep wheelchair ramp to the pavillion area but stewards will assist if required.
  • Getting Around / Facilities: Most of the ground is surrounded by level / slightly sloping tarmac (apart from north east corner).

There is a useful map on the club's website (see link to disabled facilities page above) showing where the parking, seating and toilets are situated. Food and drink vans are placed around the ground.

There is a disabled toilet on the south side of the corporate hospitality boxes.

There is a wheelchair ramp at the north end of the pavilion giving access to Dexter's and the Jim Parks Bar which is where another disabled toilet is located.

  • Additional Comments: Despite their great success in recent years, Sussex is still one of the smaller clubs at this level and does a great job of maintaining its friendly, welcoming atmosphere.

There is a family friendly pub next to the ground, The Sussex Cricketer, which is reviewed under 'Bars/Clubs'.

If you have any special requirements please contact the Operations & Facilities Manager, Ian Waring, on 01273 827108.
