University Fencing Club looking for wheelchair users to get involved in Fencing

received from the University of Sussex:

My name is Michaela and I'm the Volunteer Development Co-ordinator of
Project V (the University of Sussex volunteering service).

You already have some volunteering opportunities registered with us but I
would like to share a different idea with you.

Project V has a scheme called Link Up. This scheme enables Uni Sussex sport
clubs and societies to link up with local organisations to create a project
together.

Now, our Fencing Club is very keen to facilitate fencing sessions with
people in wheelchairs. We have 5 Level 1 qualified fencing coaches who
already facilitate sessions in the Brighton Aldridge Community Academy as
well as the Dorothy Stringer High School.

I think it would be a great opportunity for your organisation to link up
with the University of Sussex and offer a different sport to people in
wheelchairs.

The Fencing Club would really like to reach out and involve people who
would normally not have the chance to get involved in this sport.

Again, there is no cost involved for your organisation because the Fencing
Club will actually volunteer to facilitate the sessions.

I really hope that this is of interest to the B&H Federation of Disabled
People and I would be happy to talk about this in more detail.

Also, if you know any other organisations that might be interested in
setting up this project with us, I'd appreciate it if you could let me know.

Best wishes,
Michaela
