Welcome to Get Involved!
Next meeting:
Tuesday 17th August: Get Involved Group - 1:30pm-4:30pm at the Friends Meeting House at, Ship Street, Brighton, BN1 1AF.
We will be welcoming members of Hackney Disability Backup, the Hackney equivalent of our Get Involved Group. This will be an excellent opportunity to meet other disabled people who are involved in efforts to improve public services, and to share experiences and learn from each other. It will also be a great social opportunity and should be a bit of fun, if the weather is right we might even finish the meeting with ice creams at the Pier!
There will be a free lunch starting at 1:30pm, followed by presentations about Hackney Disability Backup and the Get Involved project, and a workshop exploring how we can influence decision-making in the new political climate. It's a great opportunity for our existing members but also anyone who hasn't been to a Get Involved Group before, as you will be able to learn about the project in a relaxed, social setting. So if you haven't been to a meeting before, why not come along, or if you attend regularly, why not bring along a friend?
Get Involved gives disabled people and their supporters a chance to be heard when local authority and NHS services are being planned or reviewed. To find out more about how you can take part, please choose from one of the following:
