WHAT WE DO
We hire out wheelchairs and mobility scooters to people with mobility issues, (not just blue badge holders), to help you get out and about anywhere in Brighton & Hove. Why not take a scoot along the seafront, or visit one of the local attractions? Have a look at our Brighton Accessible City Guide for some ideas!
HOW IT WORKS
Brighton Shopmobility is run by a team of volunteers who will register your details when you come in. Please bring 2 forms of identification with your photo, name and address. If you wish to hire a scooter for longer than a day you must contact the office and book the equipment in advance, we are unable to hire customers any equipment before the correct paper work and payment has been received.
The scooters are easy to operate and our volunteers will be happy to give you training on your first visit.

Monday - Friday 10am - 5pm
Opening times may vary between November - February, please ring ahead for current opening hours.
MEMBERSHIP FEES
£20 Annual Membership
FREE Day Hires
£5 per day long term hires
No charge for weekends
NON MEMBER FEES
Donation fee from £5 for day hires
£10 per day long term hires
DELIVERY & COLLECTION FEE
£5 for all customers who wish to have their scooter delivered/ collected outside Churchill Square.
DEPOSITS
£50 Deposit for a weeks hire
£100 Deposit for two weeks hire
All scooters must be returned after two weeks. Please speak to a member of staff if you wish to hire for longer than two weeks.
LONG TERM HIRES
Long Term Hires must be booked in advance so there is enough time to send and receive paper work, payment and the deposit, before the hire is due.
PRIVATE ADDRESSES
All private addresses must be approved for access and safe storage before a hire is confirmed.
NEW SCOOTERS
We'd like to thank the Sussex Masons for generously donating 10 brand new mobility scooters to our Brighton Shopmobility Service. They are new 'Shoprider' scooters and are in three different sizes. These are in addition to our existing range of 3 and 4 wheeler 'Rascal' mobility scooters. If you'd like to come and try one out, please contact our Shopmobility Service on 01273 323239. We'd be delighted to see you.
